Teen Center
Serving Teens is what we do! One of the unique things about the Carolina Teen Center is that we offer services specifically designed for teens. As the only evidence-based center for teens in South Carolina, our teens express excitement that they have a center that's just for them. Students ages 13-17 fill our center every week, where they are challenged and inspired! During the school year, students arrive by bus to our center where they are met by staff inviting them into a safe space. After recapping with students about their day, students then open up PowerSchool for our on-site tutors to review their attendance, check for missing assignments, and assist them with their homework. Students then share in a delicious snack, followed by participating in an engaging workshop until they leave. Workshops include things such as Healthy Relationships, Job Readiness, Life Skills, Teen-Leadership, Anti-Bullying program, Basketball training, and so much more. We have also partnered with a diverse group of service providers to offer everything from vaping classes, sex education, alcohol & drugs, to cooking classes and entrepreneurship.
